Reflective Theology
"In sharing our thoughts with others, surprising insights often emerge - opening our eyes to what we have not seen and our ears to what we have not heard."
Listening Hearts: Discerning Call in Community by Suzanne G. Farnham, Joseph P. Gill, R. Taylor McLean, and Susan M. Ward
I am currently undertaking post-graduate theological research and I am keen to engage in collegial dialogue with others. To this end, I will post occasional relevant writings and presentations - both published and unpublished. Feel free to message me if you would like to explore any of this with me.
My current area of interest is "Reimagining Hospitality in Faith Communities Through a Trauma-sensitive Lens".

Hearing into Voice: Exploring a Contemplative Theological Reflexive Praxis
A presentation for the Practical Theology Research Network in Oceania on Friday 29 July 2022.
A contemplative Theological Reflexive Praxis honours a God that “never ceases to make God’s self-known.” It opens to a theology that is not constrained by what is considered theological normative but rather constantly emerging out of new experiences. It also offers the potential for the research process to “become a privileged occasion of spiritual transformation" (quoting Bernadette Flanagan “Quasetio Divina,” The Way, 53, No 4 October 126-136, 2014).
