Coming Soon! Starts New Year’s Day – 10am First Friday Labyrinth Walks at the Centennial Park Labyrinth

by | Dec 28, 2020

Labyrinths have been a part of my life for several decades now.  I have on occasions travelled to specific locations because of a labyrinth or sought out labyrinths when visiting an area.  I walk labyrinths by myself, in the company of a friend or as a part of a facilitated community labyrinth walk.  Walking a labyrinths help me to slow down, to discern a decision or contemplate a dilemma, to be present to the moment or take time to give thanks.  I have incorporated labyrinth walks into ceremonies and invited children to playfully explore them.  I have wept, laughed, danced, dawdled around labyrinths.  Labyrinth walks deepen my experience of life, ignite insights, stir emotions, offer solace, evoke a sense of peace and affirm callings.  I am richer for every labyrinth walk I have taken.

We in Sydney are very fortunate to have a wonderful Chartres Labyrinth in Centennial Park and for a number of years there have been regular group labyrinth walks are held at the Centennial Park Labyrinth at 9am on the first Sunday of every month, which have been a great joy to participate in.

In 2021 I will be offering regular facilitated labyrinth walks on the first Friday of the month at 10am.  There is an open invitation to join one, several or all of these walks.

Each month I will draw on a different theme such as: Intentionality, Mindfulness, Autumn, Wisdom from the Sages, Gratitude, Winter, Solitude, Lost and Found, Spring, Guest of the Earth, Those who have gone before us and Summer

We will meet at the Centennial Park Labyrinth at 10am on the first Friday of each month.   You can book or just turn up.
